The Watford Palace Theatre is the society's new home.  Go to  the What's on page to see the films we've got in store.  We will continue to select and screen films for members and non members on the same basis as 2010/11 and will be continuing our highly successful series of members-only events, also to be held at the theatre.  Apart from the plush upholstery, other advantages include state-of-the-art projection facilities, digital sound reproduction, and a bar!

Watford Film Society is an open access community film club that shows a carefully selected film once a month on the big screen in the splendid surroundings of the Watford Palace Theatre.  Over the season the society screens recently released films not generally available on the mainstream circuit, plus some all-time classics, prize-winning foreign language movies and the occasional surprise.

Along with the main feature, each evening includes supporting events to enhance the cinematic experience such as short films, talks, Q & A sessions and exhibitions as well as an opportunity to chat over a drink in the Theatre's attractive bar and café.  Anyone is welcome to attend.
